Full site civil earthwork and utility contract to build the UW Behavioral Health Teaching Facility via Integrated Project Delivery Method. Existing A wing hospital had to be cut over to new water system without losing pressure in 3 locations. Special precautions had to be taken while excavating adjacent to eye and brain surgery suites. Install deep utilities through active ambulance drop off area. 

Duwamish Sub Station

Tukwila, WA

Scope Size : $1.2m

Demolish existing site fencing due to security concerns in active electrical sub station. Install 2200LF of new high security fence, 2000LF of conduit by vactor excavation, site grading, paving. All equipment had to be grounded due to working in close proximity to 240KV equipment. Project was completed ahead of schedule, Highland Civil's method of removing and replacing fence through existing curb and grounding mat incorporated as Seattle City Light standard. 

Northwest Hospital Child Birthing Center

Seattle, WA

Scope Size : $500k

Sitework and utilities for new addition to existing child birth center. Special precautions were taken as this was still an active center while crews were working. Existing wood structure was to be protected while excavating for new structural slab on grade, MEP and footings. Existing underground tunnel had to be protected as well during excavation.
